Hi there,
just a short heads-up on my status.
I now got the plugin working to a point where it can do encrypted
chat with Adium (and I therefore think with any otr-implementation).
Yeehaw. :-)
So this is Milestone a.
Whats left to do is:
- Find out why certain messages are swallowed in encrypted form, even
though I handle them no different than unencrypted messages
(the strange thing is, if I send them again, most of the times
it works correctly)
- complete the implementation of the adapter layer so that libotr
gets notified of all neccessary state-changes
- are there some notifications somewhere where I can subscribe to?
- create a simple command-language to enable encrypted chat without
resorting to the gui. I was thinking about something along the lines
of "/otr-encryption enable" / "/otr-encryption disable"
- create a gui (or better, hooking into the existing gui for gpg-
encryption)
- Enable internationalization for all the strings
Well, thats about it.
But that shouldn't take too long.
Now that completion starts to be seen on the horizon <g> how do you
guys handle reviewing of something like this plugin?
I certainly need some headsup on how I smash the internals of Fire. :-)
Thats it for the moment, I'l go jogging now. :-)
